Medina tops R-H in N-O field hockey opener

A big second quarter scoring burst sparked Medina to a 4-0 win over host Roy-Hart this afternoon in the Mustangs season opening Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game.
Medina erupted for three goals in the decisive second period as Iyla Lilleby scored the first two and Sophia Castricone the third.
Lilleby also scored the Mustangs final goal late in the fourth quarter.
Medina had a 10-2 advantage in corners over Roy-Hart which is now 0-2 in N-O action.
