Anchored by a good group of seven returnees, Roy-Hart is taking aim at capturing the Niagara-Orleans League volleyball title this season after finishing in the runner-up spot last year.
The Lady Rams veteran group includes Elliana Braun, who is the lone senior on the youthful squad, juniors Lila Brigham, Emily Livergood, Ella Martillotta, Aubree Parker and sophomores Raegan Kern and Grace Pearl. Martillotta earned All-League Honorable Mention.
“We’ve got a real good group back and our aim to to win the league,” said Coach Doug Meyer whose Lady Rams finished in a tie for second place with Newfane at 7-3 last season behind undefeated (10-0) champion Akron. The Lady Rams last claimed the N-O title in 2021.
Rounding out the Roy-Hart roster are juniors Jacie Craft and Brooklyn Schumacher, sophomores Ryleigh Capen, Payton May and Kylie McOmber and eighth grader Lauren Snyder.
The Lady Rams graduation losses included first team N-O All-League honorees Samantha Albright and Alex Stern along with second team selection Mckenna Elsenheimer.
Roy-Hart will open the N-O season on Wednesday at Wilson at 6:30 p.m. The other openers will have Albion at Akron and Medina at Newfane.
