Purple Eagles prep for N-O volleyball opener
Photo by Cheryl Wertman – Looking to rebound from last year’s 2-8 league record, Albion faces a challenging Niagara-Orleans volleyball season opener as the Purple Eagles visit defending champion Akron at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Anchoring the Purple Eagles lineup will be this quintet of veterans. In front are senior Zoe Marat and junior Madison LeBaron. In back are senior Liana Flugel, junior Julia Knight and senior Madison Hughson who earned N-O All-League Honorable Mention last season. Wednesday’s other N-O openers will have Medina at Newfane and Roy-Hart at Wilson.
