Raiders score sweep over Seahorses

Barker scored a doubleheader victory over host Medina in Niagara-Orleans League swim competition this afternoon as the Raiders won the boys meet 91-79 and the girls competition 97-72.

Improving to 3-1, the Barker boys were led by a trio of individual event double winners as Casey Webb took the 200 free and 100 butterfly, Collin Webb the 50 and 100 free and Andrew Jenks the 200 individual medley and 500 free.

Chase Pecoraro won the 100 backstroke and Kristian Snyder the 100 breaststroke for the Medina boys squad which slips to 4-2.

Renee Levy won the 200 free, Christiana Carestia the 500 free, Natalie Menzthe 50 free and Sarah Gendrue the breaststroke for the Barker girls squad which regains the .500 mark at 2-2.

Emma Gardner doubled in the individual medley and 100 free and Krista Nellist took the backstroke for Medina which is now 2-4.

Barker’s Casey Webb heads to a win in the 100 butterfly.

Newfane likewise scored a sweep at Albion taking the boys meet 56-38 and the girls 61-31.

Andrew Hamelink was a double winner in the 50 free and breaststroke for the Newfane boys which snapped a season opening three meet losing streak.

Morgan Seielstad doubled in the 200 and 500 free and Matt Kovaleski took the individual medley and Bailey Maier the backstroke for Albion which slips to 1-4.

The defending champion Newfane girls improved to 4-0 as Allie DeBiase doubled in the individual medley and breaststroke and Lydia Gaughran in the 50 free and 500 free.

Olivia Neidert won the 200 free and Clara Stilwell the backstroke for Albion which is 0-5.

The defending champion Roy-Hart boys squad stayed perfect at 5-0 with a 100-58 victory at Akron.

The Channel Cats were led by a quartet of double winners as Mason Sparks won the 200 and 500 free, Tanner Rees the individual medley and breaststroke, Ray Sack the 50 free and butterfly and Elliott Spitzer the 100 free and backstroke.

The Roy-Hart girls completed the sweep by downing Akron 102-68 to improve to 4-1.

Alex Hill doubled in the individual medley and butterfly for Roy-Hart as Lindsay Yates took the 100 free and Hannah Rausch the 100 free.
