Seven returning upper classmen anchor the lineup for the Medina girls varsity soccer team which is looking to improve upon last fall’s 1-9 Niagara-Orleans League record.

That veteran group includes seniors Kayelyn Hilobuk, Mia Albone, Camryn Eick, Savanna Watts and Elaina Bitsas along with juniors Madelyn Lewis and Ashlyn Marciniak.

“We’ve got a good returning crew and we looking to build off of last year,” said Coach Jeremy Leno.

The Mustangs graduated eight players including second team N-O All-League honoree Tatyana Baity and Honorable Mention selections Elissa Roath, Rylee VanNostrand and Olivia Eaton.

Medina opens the season on Wednesday facing Alexander in the opening round of the Albion Tournament at 4:30 p.m.

The Mustangs N-O opener is at home against Newfane on September 7 at 7 p.m.
