Scoring twice in the first half off turnovers, Pioneer went on to defeat visiting Albion 17-0 this evening in an interdivisional football game.

Pioneer capitalized on a fumble recovery in the first quarter to score a field goal and on a muffed Albion punt in the second quarter to score a touchdown and build up a 10-0 half-time advantage.

Albion, which was hampered by a total of three turnovers, got to the Pioneer 30 twice but could get no closer.

Kory Reynolds made 12 tackles, Meach Gardner 11 and Tommy Mattison 9 for the Albion defense.

The loss drops Albion to 1-4 on the season.
