Medina U19 booters earn first win

Gaining that elusive first victory of the season, Medina’s U19 team downed the Niagara Power Arsenal 3-2 Wednesday evening at Vets Park.
Medina used a big first half scoring burst to key the win and improve to 1-3-1 on the season.
Medina jumped out to a 3-0 lead at the half on goals by Steven Anderson, Cooper Hardiman and Ben Howell.
The locals then had to hold off a strong second half rally by the Niagara Power which scored twice and just missed netting the tying goal in the final minutes.
Medina next visits the Aurora Arsenal on July 8.
With the win Medina avenged an earlier season 3-2 loss to the Niagara Power.

Medina’s U17 team dropped a 5-2 decision at Akron Wednesday evening.
