Medina 12U Fillies roll to second win
Scoring 5 quick runs in the first inning and 4 more in the second, the Medina 12U Fillies went on to defeat the Amherst Thunder 19-9 on Thursday.
Medina later scored 2 runs in the top of the sixth on a Camri King home run and 6 more in the top of the seventh to lock up the victory.
Lacey Kenward had 4 hits for the Fillies. King and Lexi Hare both had 3 and Micaela Erway and Brooklyn Brown 2 each.
Defensively, Erway had 3 putouts in right field.
Grace Cook took home the “Tuff Cookie” Award for her performance behind the plate.
The Fillies next visit the Amherst Miracles on June 3.
