Lady Rams top Mustangs to go to 13-0
Having already put a lock on the title, Roy-Hart stayed perfect at 13-0 in Niagara-Orleans League softball competition by posting a 16-2 victory over Medina this afternoon at Vets Park.
Taylor Fry, Kayla Brown, Lindsay Yates, Maddie Fry, Lexie Lovewell, Maddy Glena and Ashley Bower all had multiple hits for Roy-Hart which scored in every inning.
Roy-Hart took the lead for good by scoring 3 quick runs in the first inning as Taylor Fry, Brown and Hannah Rausch all had singles.
A triple by Yates and double by Maddie Fry then ignited a four-run second inning.
Brown then capped off a three-run third inning with an RBI triple and Bower ignited a three-run fourth frame with a leadoff home run.
Defensively, Brown made a pair of diving catches in left field.
Emily Kams had a pair of hits for Medina which slips to 4-9.
The Medina defense turned a double play in the seventh inning from shortstop Alisha Scroger to Bailey Allen at first base.
Roy-Hart next hosts Newfane Wednesday to close out the N-O season while Medina entertains Wilson on Thursday.
Roy-Hart also defeated Medina15-4 in the JV game.
