Lady Rams nip Lady Tigers in tourney

The host Lady Rams edged past Lyndonville 45-42 this evening in the opening round of the Roy-Hart girls basketball Tournament.

Roy-Hart jumped out to a 16-8 first quarter lead as Emma Lindke scored all 10 of her points during that stretch.

The Lady Rams went on to hold leads of 23-14 at the half and 30-25 after three quarters.

Skyler Christopher led Roy-Hart with a game high 14 points. Reilly Albee and Delany Draper both added 5 for the Lady Rams as Ava Bligh had 4, Rachael Rausch, Alyssa Hess and Sarah Duewiger 2 and Maddie Fry 1.

Lyndonville erupted for 17 points in the final stanza, including 7 by Aubrey Lewis and 6 by Makenzie Muck, but could not pull even.

Aubrey Lewis finished with 13, Muck 11, Jasmine Plummer 10, Abi Rodriquez 5, Anna Lewis 2 and Miranda Lembcke 1 for the Lady Tigers.

Oakfield-Alabama defeated Tonawanda 37-28 in the other semifinal.

Roy-Hart will now face Oakfield-Alabama in the championship game at 5 p.m. Saturday while Lyndonville will take on Tonawanda in the consolation contest at 3 p.m.
