Lady Eagles down rival Lady Hawks
A lightning quick two goal scoring burst just before half-time proved to be just enough to earn host Kendall a 2-0 victory over rival Holley this evening in a Genesee Region League girls soccer game.
Coralee Freitag scored what proved to be the game winner for Kendall with 3:02 remaining in the first half off an assist from Taylor ReQua.
Maya Rutland then netted a huge insurance goal for the Lady Eagles by scoring with just one second remaining in the half as Julia Smith earned the assist.
Jenna Jacob earned the shutout in goal for Kendall which next hosts Byron-Bergen at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Madison Papaj made a number of big stops in goal for Holley.
Kendall is now 3-0 in the league and 6-0 overall while Holley is 0-2 ad 1-3.
