Kendall girls down Lyndonville

Leading from wire to wire, Kendall posted a 55-34 victory over visiting Lyndonville this evening in a Genesee Region League girls basketball game.

Taylor Kingsbury scored a season high 23 points, Tania Arellano added 16 and Taylor ReQua 14 to spark the attack for Kendall which snapped a three game G-R losing streak.

Morgan Hungerford led Lyndonville with 10 points as Chelsea Poler had 7, Gabby Dusett 6, Mackenzie Muck and Jasmine Plummer 4 and Leann Balcerzak 3.

Kendall’s Amelia Patrick (12) knocks the ball away from Lyndonville’s Gabby Dusett (22).

Kendall grabbed a 16-7 first period lead as Arellano netted the last 7 points, including a pair of threes, and Kingsbury the first 6.

The Lady Eagles boosted the advantage to 13, 28-15, at the half as ReQua had a three and Kingsbury a pair of buckets in the second period.

A three by Arellano, along with two buckets each by Kingsbury and ReQua in the third period, helped up the Kendall advantage to 40-26 at the three-quarter mark.

Lyndonville’s Chelsea Poler (24) battles with Kendall’s Taylor Kingsbury (4) for a rebound.

Kingsbury also had a big 9 point fourth quarter as ReQua chipped in with another three and a fast break layup.

Kendall improves to 3-6 in the league and 6-7 overall while Lyndonville slips to 0-9 and 2-11 overall.

Attica 71, Kendall 53

Will Condo and Evan Gaesser each scored 14 points for Kendall in the Eagles 71-53 G-R loss at Attica.
