Late uprising lifts Kendall past B-B
A sixth inning scoring burst earned Kendall an 8-4 victory over Byron-Bergen in a Genesee Region League game this afternoon.
Breaking away from a 4-4 deadlock, Kendall scored 4 times in the sixth inning on an RBI single by Jonny Conte, a run producing sacrifice fly by Zach Barrett an a two-run error. A walk and a single by Colby Hughes set up the threat.
James Fox went the distance on the mound for the Eagles scattering 6 hits and striking out 6.
Kendall, which next visits Oakfield-Alabama at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, improves to 8-2 in the league and 10-2 overall.
In another G-R contest, Notre Dame downed Lyndonville 14-0.
