Holley netters nip Notre Dame

Improving to 8-4, Holley edged past Notre Dame 3-2 this afternoon in a Genesee Region League tennis match.

A come-from-behind three set win by Brady Smith at first singles provided the margin of victory for Holley.

The Hawks also got straight set wins by Ian Penders at second singles and Jon Russin at third singles.

Wilson 3, Barker 2 1/2

Wilson trimmed Barker 3-2 1/2 this afternoon in a key Niagara-Orleans League tennis match.

Wilson improves to 5-4 while Barker slips to 6-4 and out of title contention.

Dominic Curcione defeated Sean Benoit at first singles 6-3, 6-0 to lead Wilson.

The Lakemen also took the first two doubles matches. Joe Hecko and Kallie Olear defeated Nick Fazzolari and Erik Herian 6-1, 7-6. Kyle Lyon and Sean Pazik downed Emma Duffy and Lucy Bautista 7-5, 6-2.

Barker won at second singles as Tristan Payne defeated Gabriel Curcione 7-5, 6-0 and at third singles as Brian Hefferon downed Alex Keil 6-2, 2-6, 6-0.
