Holley U17 caps 11-0-1 title season
Registering shutout number nine, Holley blanked the Genesee Lancers 2-0 this evening at Genesee Community College to close out an 11-0-1 Rochester District Soccer League boys U17 Division championship season.
Cameron Bennage earned the shutout in goal.
Derek McArthur scored in the first half on a penalty kick and Andrew Cary added an insurance tally in the second half.
Medina U17 and U19 teams bow
The Delaware Bisons blanked host Medina 7-0 this evening in a Buffalo and Western New York boys U17 Division game at Vets Park.
In a U19 Division contest, Amherst United rallied past visiting Medina 5-2.
Medina jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on goals by Barry Rogenmoser and James Ianni but Amherst rallied into a 2-2 tie by halftime. Amherst then outscored Medina 3-0 in the second half to claim the win.
