Barker tops Roy-Hart in N-O field hockey

Pulling away down the stretch, defending champion Barker posted a 4-0 victory over visiting Roy-Hart this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game.

Leading by a narrow 1-0 margin, Barker broke the game open by scoring two quick goals within a span of five minutes midway from the second half. Lydia Dewart scored with 17:19 to go and Erin Greenwald with 12:41 remaining to put the Lady Raiders in control.

Rebecca Stoloski, who scored Barker’s lone goal in the first half, off an assist from Emma Duffy, capped off the Lady Raiders afternoon with a goal as time expired.

Barker is now 2-0 and Roy-Hart 1-2.

Akron 6, Medina 0

Sarah Schultz scored the three goal hat-trick to lead the way for Akron which also got goals from Abby Enfield, Heather Cummings and Abby Stone in the shutout win over Medina.

Akron is now 2-0 and Medina 1-2.

Wilson 6, Kenmore 0

Erin Boyle, Courntey Wheeler and Rachael Cobo each scored two goals for Wilson which improves to 3-0.

The loss drops Kenmore to 0-3.
