Avenging an earlier season 4-3 loss, Albion rolled to a 5-1 victory over visiting Roy-Hart this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game.

Albion jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first 11 minutes as Brylie Hapeman scored off an assist from Emily Blanchard and then Blanchard tallied from Mariah Elsenheimer.

The Purple Eagles upped the advantage to 3-0 at the half as Ally Page scored off an assist from Nicole Eldred.

Hapeman and Blanchard then each scored a goal in the second half to round out the Purple Eagles scoring. Blanchard, who picked up the assist on Hapeman’s goal, netted her goal off a corner by Mikayla Yaskulski.

Elsenheimer and Ellen Narburgh anchored the Albion defense.

Amber Villella netted the lone Roy-Hart goal.

Albion improves to 5-5 in N-O competition while Roy-Hart slips to 5-4-1.

In the other N-O games, front-running Wilson improved to 10-0 with a 10-0 victory over CSAT (0-10) and Newfane stayed within a game of the lead at 9-1 by blanking Barker (1-9) 6-0.

Kayla Neumann scored the three goal hat-trick to lead the way for Wilson.

First half goals by Kaylee Heschke and Emily Foltz led a parade of six different goal scorers for Newfane.
