Albion, Roy-Hart girls open soccer sectionals with home field wins
No. 12 seed Albion blanked visiting No. 21 CSAT 9-0 and No. 16 Roy-Hart downed visiting No. 17 Depew 6-1 this evening to open the Section VI Class B girls soccer playoffs.
In another Class B contest, No. 15 East Aurora nipped visiting No. 18 Medina 3-2.
Albion 9, CSAT 0
All of the scoring took place in the first half as Emily Blanchard netted 4 goals and Mikayla Yaskulski 2 to lead the Albion attack. Ally Page, Mariah Elsenheimer and Nicole Eldred each added a goal.
Albion broke the contest open at the outset by scoring twice in the first two minutes as Blanchard tallied from Eldred and Yaskulski from Blanchard.

The advantage soared to 6-0 before the contest was 15 minutes old as Page, Blanchard, Yaskulski and Elsenheimer netted consecutive goals.
Improving to 9-8, Albion next visits Niagara-Orleans League foe No. 5 Newfane at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Lady Panthers downed the Purple Eagles twice during the N-O season by scores of 5-4 in overtime and 4-1.
Roy-Hart 6, Depew 1
Amber Villella, Emma Lindke and Ava Bligh each scored a pair of goals to spearhead the Roy-Hart offense.
Roy-Hart led 2-1 at the half on goals by Villella and Bligh.
A penalty kick goal by Lindke then ignited a big four goal second half which put a lock on the win for the Lady Rams. Villella, Lindke and Bligh each followed up with a goal to close out the scoring.
Going to 9-7-1, Roy-Hart next visits top seeded City Honors at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
East Aurora 3, Medina 2
East Aurora scored in the final minute to nip Medina 3-2.
Medina had grabbed a 2-1 lead in the first half on a pair of goals by Destiny Satkowski, both off assists from Martha Gardner.
