Winter weather is back with snow and sleet since Wednesday afternoon. Orleans County remains under a winter weather advisory until 6 p.m. with mixed precipitation and additional ice accumulations of up to a tenth of an ice, the National Weather Service in Buffalo reported.
“Periods of freezing rain will result in slippery roads and limited visibilities,” the Weather Service said. “Slow down and use caution while driving.”
It’s been an unseasonably warm February so far for most of the month, with some days hitting highs in the 50s and even 60s.
Today is forecast for a high of 32, followed by a high of 22 on Friday and 27 on Saturday.
