Mustangs and Rams suffer N-O road losses
Akron downed visiting Medina 70-40 and Newfane topped visiting defending champion Roy-Hart 76-44 in Niagara-Orleans League boys basketball games this evening.
Andrew Romesser scored 18 and Bral Abrams 12 to pace Akron which led 23-12 at the half and 46-28 at the three-quarter mark. Romesser tallied 11 and Abrams 10 in the second half.
Cayden Lilleby scored a game high 19, including 5 threes, to lead Medina.
Ben Dickenson scored 15 for Newfane which held leads of 23-14 after the first quarter, 37-23 at the half and 60-32 after three quarters.
Jamel Johnson Jr. took game high honors with 21 for Roy-Hart.
Alexander 77, Lyndonville 36
Moving out to a 33-18 half-time advantage, Alexander went on to defeat Lyndonville 77-36 in a Genesee Region League game this evening.
Dylan Pohl scored 23, Trent Woods 16 and Jacob Brooks 11 to led the Trojans.
Trenton Muck scored 18 and Mason Nicholson 10 for the Tigers.
Northstar 65, Kendall 37
Hunter Richards scored 13 and Austin Werth 10 for Kendall in the 77-36 non league loss to Northstar which led 28-14 at the half.
