Raptors blank LeRoy to grab division lead

Taking over sole possession of first place, the Holley Raptors scored twice in each half to blank LeRoy 4-0 in a Rochester District Youth Soccer League girls U19 game Sunday evening at Genesee Community College.

Improving to 5-1 (15) points the Raptors broke a tie for the top spot with idle Penfield which is 4-2 (12 points).

The Raptors will next visit Penfield in a key showdown contest for the division lead on Wednesday.

Ella Fadale had 2 goals and Abby Scanlan and Claire Squicciarini 1 each to lead the Raptors offense against LeRoy.

Scanlan, Nikki Creasey and Halee Passarell each had an assist as Sydney Mulka earned the shutout in goal.

The Raptors grabbed a 2-0 half-time advantage as Fadale scored off an assist from Scanlan and the Scanlan tallied from Creasey.

In the second half, Fadale scored from Passarell and Squicciarini added a goal on a free kick from 40 yards out.
