Women’s Softball League regular season is heading into stretch run
With the Medina Women’s Softball League heading into the stretch run of the regular season Banes currently holds a two game lead in the ‘A’ League while Just Us and Medina VFW are tied for the ‘B’ League lead.
Banes, which is undefeated at 9-0 in the ‘A’ League with three games to go, holds a two game edge over runner-up Jr. Wilson 1 at 6-2 followed by Hemp House/810 Meadworks 4-4, White Birch 1-7 and NYSCOPBA 0-7.
Banes will face Jr. Wilson 1 on July 18.
In the ‘B’ League, Just Us and Medina VFW are deadlocked for the top spot at 6-2 with four games remaining. They are followed by Mera Hair Co.and Lizzy & Lyric both at 3-5 and Jr. Wilson 2 at 2-6.
Just Us and Medina VFW will meet on July 25.
Following a week off for the July 4 holiday, the league will resume play next Monday with Jr. Wilson 1 vs. NYSCOPBA (6 p.m. Jr. Wilson 1), White Birch vs. NYSCOPBA (7 p.m. Jr. Wilson 1), Banes vs. Hemp/810 (6:30 p.m. Jr. Wilson 2), Lizzy & Lyric vs. Mera Hair (6 p.m. Butts 1), Medina VFW vs. Mera Hair (7 p.m. Butts 1) and Jr. Wilson 2 vs. Just Us (6:30 p.m. Butts 3).
