Hickory Ridge league lineup has new addition

It was a busy week at Hickory Ridge with all leagues reporting including one new addition.

The new league which has been formed, the Hickory Hicks Golf League, plays on Saturday afternoons. Their first reporting shows John and Diane Colsanto in first place with 37 points. Melissa and Dave Cotter are in second with 38 points. Three teams are tied for third with 39 points each.

Starting off the week was the Ladies Night Out league on Tuesday. Low gross was Deb Wood with a 39. Patty Pfister had low net with 35. Wood recorded two birdies, Pfister and Aleta Martin one each. The standings have Margie Page and Marcia Zambito leading with 41 points. Wood and Martin are in second with 39.5. Paula Knaak and Melissa Cotter hold third with 37 points.

The Wednesday Night Mens’ league has Larry Powers and Bill Connolly leading the standings with 35 points. Clark Brooks and Dick Taylor are in second with 33.5 points. AJ Gifaldi and Dave Polisoto are in third with 31.5 points. Low gross was recorded by Raymont Daniels with a 39. Polisoto had low net with a 31. Larry Swanger, Tim Hendrickson and Gifaldi each reported a birdie.

The Thursday Morning Senior league had no skin birdies or eagles. There will be a carryover to next week. Closest to the pin on number 6 was Dick Taylor with 7 feet, 6 inches. Closest second shot on 13 was Dave Marcolini at 5 feet, 2 inches.

The Men’s Traveling league that also plays on Thursday has a low gross of 41 by Scott Budde. Low net was a 31 by Adam Dresser. Birdies were recorded by Barry Flansberg and Ken Hinkson. The teams of Hanlon and Schrader and Cotter and Root lead the standings with 142 points. Third place is held by the team of Knaak and Cotter with 128 points.

The next Hickory Ridge Golf Association tournament is scheduled for July 17. The 3-2-1 tournament is a foursome event with teams being formed by the association. It is open to golf association members and social golfers with a league handicap. More information and signup in the pro shop by July 7th.
