Eden stickmen oust Medina
Roaring out to leads of 8-0 after one period and 16-0 at the half, No. 4 seed Eden went on to defeat visiting No. 5 Median 19-3 this afternoon in the quarterfinals of the Section VI Class D lacrosse playoffs.
Cayden Lilleby, Zaric Boyce and Will Prest each scored a goal for Medina.
Eden will next visit top seeded Akron in the semifinals. Akron blanked No. 8 Newfane 22-0 in another quarterfinal contest.
Section VI Softball Playoffs
No. 2 seed Fredonia blanked visiting No. 3 Roy-Hart 5-0 in the semifinal round of the Section VI Class B2 softball playoffs.
Fredonia pitcher Jordan Lucas hurled a three hitter with 15 strikeouts.
Roy-Hart pitcher Reanna Perkins registered 11 strikeouts and also banged out a pair of doubles at the plate.
