Lady Tigers win G-R clash of unbeatens

Lyndonville bested host Oakfield-Alabama 13-2 in a Genesee Region League softball clash of unbeatens this afternoon.

Addy Dillenbeck had 4 hits, Gracie Johnson 3 and Ella Lewis, Haley Shaffer and Bri Krisher 2 each for Lyndonville which improves to 10-0 as Oakfield-Alabama slips to 7-1. Dillenbeck, Lewis, Shaffer and Krisher each drove in a pair of runs.

Breaking away from a 2-2 deadlock, Lyndonvile took the lead for good by scoring twice in the fourth inning on a triple by Johnson and a single by Dillenbeck.

The Lady Tigers then pulled away by scoring five times in the sixth inning as Krisher had a two-run single, Dillenbeck and RBI double and Johnson and Shaffer singles.

Shaffer picked up the win in the circle scattering 7 hits and striking out 6.

Kendall 20, Elba 5
Julie Coble had 3 hits and Grace Levett and Taigan Guerrero 2 each to lead the attack for Kendall in a 20-5 G-R win over Elba. Levett’s hits included a triple and Coble’s a double. Coble drove in a total of 4 runs and Levett 3.

Holley 20, Monroe 2

Hailey Herring had 3 hits, AJ Botello 3 hits including two doubles and 4 RBIs and Tia Hoffarth 2 hits including a double and triple and 5 RBIs to lead Holley to a 20-2 non league win over Monroe.

Akron 15, Albion 12
In a free scoring back-and-forth contest which featured a total of 39 hits, Akron outlasted visiting Albion 15-12 in a Niagara-Orleans League game.

Mackenzie Snook, Cami London, Kenzi Hapeman and Aly Knaak each had 3 hits for Albion as Leah Pritchard and Janessa Lindsey both had 2. London’s hits included a two-run homer, Knaak’s a double and triple and Pritchard’s a triple. Pritchard also registered 3 strikeouts in the circle to reach the 200 career strikeout mark.

Akron is now 4-4 and Albion 4-5 in N-O action.

Wilson 15, Medina 2
Bella Lemke and Juliana Levesque both had 3 hits and Rian Faery and Sam Herlan 2 each to lead Wilson past visiting Medina 15-2 in another N-O contest.
