Lyndonville tops Kendall in G-R softball

Scoring in five different innings, Lyndonville downed host Kendall 13-4 in a rainy Genesee Region League softball game this afternoon.

Kendall did jump out to a quick 1-0 first inning lead on a home run by Lauren Pilon but Lyndonville answered right back with four tallies in the second inning on a two-run single by Brynn Howell and a two-run homer by Gracie Johnson to take the lead for good.

Staying undefeated at 9-0, the Lady Tigers steadily increased their lead to 12-2 by scoring once in the third inning on a single by Haley Shaffer, three times in the fourth on a two-run error and an RBI triple by Ella Lewis and four times in the sixth on an RBI single by Lewis, an RBI double by Shaffer, an RBI sacrifice fly by Brooke Robinson and an error.

Shelby Kruger had a double and triple on the day for Kendall.

In a non league game Lockport trimmed Roy-Hart 6-5.

G-R Baseball
In G-R baseball action, Kendall defeated Lyndonville 9-2 and Notre Dame downed Holley 16-1.

Jorden Ostrander and James Fox each had 3 hits for Kendall while on the mound Zach Barrett gave up 6 hits and struck out 7. Ostrander and Jimmy Swift both drove in a pair of runs in the fifth inning.

Trenton Muck had 2 hits for Lyndonville.
