19 hit attack sparks Albion to softball win

Pounding out 19 hits, Albion bested Newfane 13-9 in a Niagara-Orleans League softball game this afternoon.

Kenzie Snook had 4 hits, Kenzi Hapeman 3 and Cami London, Janessa Lindsey, Aly Knaak and Leah Pritchard 2 each to lead the Albion attack. Snook and London both had triples and Hapeman drove in a total of 5 runs.

Julia Dumas had a home run for Newfane.

Barker 16, Wilson 7
Peyton Bradley struck out 9 in the circle and Natalie Brandel and Lilly Monthony were both multiple hitters to lead Barker past Wilson 16-7.

G-R League
Lyndonville defeated host Holley 26-1 and Byron-Bergen edged Kendall 6-4 in Genesee Region League action.

Brooke Robinson hurled a 2 hitter with four strikeouts in the circle and at the plate banged out 4 hits, including a pair of doubles and drove in 5 runs to lead Lyndonville past Holley.

Haley Shaffer also had 4 hits and drove in 3 runs and Lorelei Dillenbeck chipped in with 3 hits and 3 RBIs.

Lyndonville improves to 7-0.
