Wind advisory in effect until 7 p.m. today

A wind advisory is in effect until 1 this afternoon in Orleans, Niagara, Monroe, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming and Chautauqua counties.
There will be southwest winds at 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts up to 55 mph expected, the National Weather Service in Buffalo advised.
Today is forecast for a high of 27 but the temperature will fall to 19 by 11 a.m., the Weather Service said. Another 1 to 3 inches of snow is possible during the day with an overnight low of 10 degrees.
Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high of 46, with a high of 44 on Monday which is Presidents’ Day.
