Albion scores sweep in N-O swim opener; Medina and Roy-Hart boys post wins

Albion swept to a doubleheader victory over Barker in a season opening Niagara-Orleans League swim meet this afternoon.

Albion won the boys’ meet 66-15 and the girls’ competition 54-31.

Finn McCue was a double winner in the 50 Free and 100 Free and Dallas Ecker in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke to lead the way for the Albion boys squad.

Willow Gaines won both the 50 Free and 100 Breaststroke for the Albion girls.

The Medina boys downed host Akron 112-58.

Isaac Pace doubled in the 100 Free and 100 Breaststroke for the Seahorses as Xander Payne won the 50 Free and Caiden Class the 500 Free.

Pace, Payne, Class, Michael Marker, Ben Griffin, Austin Tompkins, Jaxon Phillips and Gabe Mark all helped the Seahorses capture all three relays.

The defending champion Roy-Hart boys opened with a 91-69 victory at Newfane as Sean Labiak was a double winner in the 200 Individual Medley and 500 Free.

Newfane downed Roy-Hart 95-71 in the girls meet as Lauren Enderton took both the Individual Medley and the Backstroke.

Amanda Hill was a double winner for Roy-Hart in the Butterfly and Breaststroke.

In the other girls’ meet Akron downed Medina.

Maddy Satkowski was a double winner for Medina in the 100 Free and 200 Free.
