Albion and Roy-Hart post N-O diamond wins
Roy-Hart rallied for three runs in the seventh inning to nip host Akron 6-5 and remain undefeated at 7-0 in Niagara-Orleans League competition.
Hits by Ethan Kuzma and Jake Gould set up the last ditch rally for Roy-Hart which scored one on a sacrifice by Noah Stern and twice on a two-out error.
Gavyn Boyle had a pair of doubles on the day for Roy-Hart as did David Kalinowski doe Akron.
Akron is now 4-3.
Roy-Hart next host undefeated (8-0) Medina in a key battle for first place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Gasport.
Albion 17, Barker 2
Making it three wins in a row after an 0-5 start to the N-O season, Albion bested visiting Barker 17-2.
Javon Jones had 3 hits for Albion as Tyler Gibson, Alex Gibson, Austin Aman, Kyle Woolston and Mason Bennett each had 2.
Jones, Tyler Gibson and Aman all had RBI singles to highlight a six run second inning.
Wilson 12, Newfane 3
Wilson regained the .500 mark at 5-5 in N-O action by downing rival Newfane 12-3 as Tyler Johnson picked up the win on the mound.
Wilson scored three quick runs in the first inning highlighted by a two-run double by Mike Miller and then six more in the second. Miller and John Ernest both finished with a pair of hits.
