Green competes at Porter Cup Tournament

Medina’s Melanie Green tied for 20th at the 8th annual Women’s Porter Cup Tournament which concluded on Friday at the Niagara Falls Country Club.
Green, who just completed her freshman year at the University of South Florida, finished 9 over par.
She had rounds of 76, 73 and 76 to finish with a 225 total.
The tournament was won by Kan Bunnabodee who finished with a three day total of 212. The 19 year old from Thailand just completed her sophomore year at Purdue University.
Green, who earned All-Conference honors at South Florida this past season, was a three-time Section VI and a two-time state champion during her scholastic days at Medina High.
