Mustangs will host Purple Eagles Monday

Washed out this evening, Medina will now host rival Albion in a Memorial Day make-up baseball game at 7 p.m. Monday at Vets Park.

Defending champion Medina, which is off to a 4-0 start in Niagara-Orleans League competition, is looking to pull even with 5-0 Roy-Hart in the race for the league title, while Albion is looking to snap a season opening three game N-O losing streak.

The teams will then meet again on Tuesday in a regularly scheduled contest at Albion at 4:45 p.m.

Today’s washouts also sets up a Genesee Region League diamond doubleheader at Lyndonville on Saturday. Lyndonville will host Attica in softball at 11 a.m. and in baseball at 5 p.m. The Lady Tigers are off to an 8-1 start to the season and the Tigers are 8-2.

Today’s N-O washouts also included Akron vs. Wilson in baseball, Barker vs. Newfane and Wilson vs. Roy-Hart in softball and Medina vs. Albion, Roy-Hart vs. Newfane and Akron vs. Barker in tennis.

The Notre Dame vs. Kendall G-R softball game was also postponed.
