Medina splits with Wilson in N-O track

Medina earned a split with host Wilson this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League track meet.

Medina won the boys’ meet 69-67 and Wilson took the girls’ competition 79-53.

The Medina boys squad got individual event wins from Ben Griffin (400), Alwyn Cayea (800), Arian Cayea (1600), Cameron Castanon (3200) and Mason Moreland (Pole Vault).

Jared Jaques was a quadruple winner for the Wilson boys in the 110 Hurdle,s 400 Hurdles, Long Jump and High Jump.

Medina is now 2-2 and Wilson 3-2.

Maddie Schultz was a triple winner in the 100 Hurdles, 400 Hurdles and 100 and Jenny Reagan doubled in the 1500 and 3000 for the Wilson girls which improve to 2-3.

FaithAnn Vanderwalker doubled in the Long Jump and Triple Jump for Medina as Corinne Hill took the 400, Taty Baity the Shotput and Phallon Rivera the Discus.

Wilson is now 2-3 and Medina 1-3.

Newfane sweeps Roy-Hart

Newfane swept host Roy-Hart winning the boys’ meet 114-27 and the girls’ 95-46.

Xavier Thomas tripled in the Pole Vault, Shotput and Triple Jump and Dakota Baker doubled in the 100 and 200 to lead the Newfane boys squad which improves to 3-1.

Brandon Allen doubled in the 110 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles and Jay Heideman took both the 1600 and 3200 for Roy-Hart which is now 1-3.

Ashlynn Joseph doubled in the 100 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles and Mel Myers in the High Jump and Long Jump for the Newfane girls which stay unbeaten at 4-0.

Nadia White took both the 800 and Triple Jump for Roy-Hart which is now 2-2.

Barker and Akron split

Barker nipped Akron 66-64 in the boys’ meet. Akron gained a split on the day by winning the girls’ competition 127-10.

Tyler Hillman doubled in the 110 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles, Dawson Donovan in the Triple Jump and 200 and Mason Allee-Castro in the 800 and 1500 for the Barker boys sqaud which improves to 2-3.

John Steen won both the 110 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles for Newfane which slips to 2-2.

Samantha Bellis tripled in the High Jump, Long Jump and Triple Jump while Sophia Jones doubled in the 100 and 200 and Lauren Wagner in the 800 and 1500 for the Akron girls which stay undefeated at 4-0.
