Sheriff’s Office participating in ‘Click it or Ticket’ campaign

The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office in partnership with law enforcement throughout the State, and the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee, will participate in the Click It or Ticket Campaign, which runs from May 24 through June 6, 2021.
The Click it or Ticket Campaign is a statewide enforcement campaign designed to save lives and reduce the severity of injuries by increasing safety restraint use. The Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee has set a strategic goal to increase the observed statewide seat belt use rate and to decrease unrestrained occupant fatalities in passenger vehicles.
The strategies identified for accomplishing these goal include high visibility enforcement, public information and education.
This campaign is in collaboration with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s National Click it or Ticket: Seatbelts save Lives.
