Wind advisory in effect today from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

A wind advisory is in effect today in Orleans County from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. There will be westerly winds from 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph, the National Weather Service in Buffalo said.

The gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result, the Weather Service said.

Today there is also a chance for showers with a high near 48 and an overnight low of 34. On Saturday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 54. Sunday there is a chance for showers with a high near 62.
