Lyndonville and Kendall have G-R All-Stars

Lyndonville’s Ella Lewis and Kendall’s Libby Snyder, both juniors, have earned Genesee Region League All-Star basketball honors.

Lewis a repeat selection, scored 127 points for a 12.2 average while Snyder averaged a double-double with 113 points (10.2 ave.) and 127 rebounds (11.5 ave.)

Elba senior Brynn Walczak has been named G-R Player of the Year

A trio of Orleans County players also received Honorable Mention including Holley senior Halee Passarell, Kendall senior Alezya Brown and Lyndonville sophomore Lorelei Dillenbeck .

Undefeated (10-0) Elba led the way on the All-Star team with a quartet of honorees including Brynn Walczak, Taylor Augello, Leah Bezon and Maddie Muehlig, all seniors. Walczak, who averaged 20 points per outing, was named G-R Player of the Year.

The All-Star squad also includes junior Lindsay Weidman and sophomore Amelia McCulley from Notre Dame, junior Kelsey Schlagenhauf and sophomore Makena Reding from Oakfield-Alabama, senior Hailie Kramer and junior Natalie Whitmore from Alexander, seniors Serene Calderon and Emily Peters from Pembroke and senior Makenna Jarnot from Attica. McCulley led G-R scorers with 321 points for a 22.9 average.

The Honorable Mention selections also included Alexander senior Allison Mileham, Attica senior Ellie Newell, Wheatland-Chili senior Hannah Beldue, Notre Dame junior Sarah McGinnis and Oakfield-Alabama senior Danica Porter.

Elba’s Tom Redband was named Coach of the Year.
