Lakemen score win over Purple Eagles

Blanked in the second quarter, Albion dropped a 57-42 decision at Wilson this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League boys basketball game as the Lakemen avenged an earlier season 21 point (59-38) loss to the Purple Eagles..

Breaking away from a 13-13 deadlock, Wilson outscored Albion 11-0 in the second period to open up s 24-13 half-time advantage.

Michael Miller scored 23, Jared Jaques 15 and Ben Lyman 11 to lead the way or Wilson which improve to 3-7.

Bailey Blanchard tallied 13 and Jahmeek Riley 9 for Albion which slips to 4-5.

Akron 45, Barker 34

Adam Mietz scored 25 and Jacob Mazza 12 to lead Akron to a 45-34 win at Barker. David Kalinowski added 4 and Josh Mazza 3 for the Tigers

Shane Gerhardt scored 10, Joey Brandt and Brad Cantrell 6, Nathan Meza Ray 5, Devonte Hill 4 and Cole Ecker 3 for Barker.

Akron led 24-17 at the half and 36-29 after three quarters.
