Attica girls turn back Lyndonville rally

A late rally fell just short as Lyndonville dropped a narrow 53-47 decision to host Attica this evening in a Genesee Region League girls basketball game.

Lyndonville trailed by as many as 14 in the fourth quarter but rallied back to as close as three with less than a minute to go.

Ella Lewis scored 9 to lead the Lady Tigers late comeback bid as Alexis Hughes netted 3 and Ashlee Stephens, Gracie Johnson and Kylee Nesbitt 2 each.

Lewis finished with 14, Lorelei Dillenbeck 12 and Hughes 10.

MaKenna Jarnot scored 18 for Attica which held narrow leads of 14-13 after one period, 20-19 at the half and 31-29 at the three-quarter mark.

Byron-Bergen 52, Holley 17

Building up a 30-12 halftime advantage, Byron-Bergen went on to down host Holley 52-17 as Dayi Caballero led the Lady Bees with 17.

Halee Passarell scored 8 to lead Holley.

Oakfield-Alabama 37, Kendall 22

Oakfield-Alabama posted a 37-22 win over Kendall as Caitlin Ryan led the way with 14 points.
