WATERPORT – Phyllis and Roy Salmon are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today. Phyllis is retired from Marine Midland Bank in Albion and Roy is retired from Albion School as bus driver.

They have lived on their farm in Waterport their entire marriage. They have two children, Scott and Trudy, and a grandson, Dale Salmon.

Mr. Salmon is the third generation on the farm. He raised beef cattle and cabbage until the mid-’80s. Now it’s outsourced for corn and soybeans.

“Their secret is to work hard and have always put the family first,” said their daughter, Trudy. “My parents are content to have us around and the chaos and laughs we bring.”
