BARRE – The third annual Barre Lighted Tractor Parade is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Tractors should show up on East Barre Road by 5:15 p.m. They will then head north on Route 98 to the Barre Town Park. No RSVPs are needed in the event planned by the Barre Betterment Committee.

Last year the event went on despite heavy snow. This year there is a pandemic. Organizers urge spectators to adhere to social distancing and wear facial coverings.

About a dozen tractors participated in the parade on Dec. 14 last year during heavy snow. This year the forecast shows a good chance for rain, but no snow during the event.
