Medina and Akron golfers shine at annual N-O All-League Tournament

Roy-Hart’s McCarthy Lang won the N-O girls title

The Medina duo of Aiden Paul and Dylan Lonnen finished 1-3 n the individual competition and Akron captured its first team title in 30 years at the annual Niagara-Orleans All-League golf tournament held today at Willowbrook.

Paul shot an 83 over 18 holes to claim the individual title.

Wilson’s Nathan Meyers finished second with an 85 and Lonnen third with an 86.

Albion’s Nick Newton shot an 88 to share fourth place with Newfane’s Sam Capen and Barker’s Joel Harris.

Roy-Hart’s McCarthy Lang won the N-O girls title with a 97.

Akron, which last claimed the N-O title in 1990, took top team honors with a score of 485 to lock up the season’s championship.

Wilson finished second at the tourney with a score of 494 followed by Newfane 496, Medina 515, Barker 523, Roy-Hart 534 and Albion incomplete.

For the season, Akron took first place honors with a total of 28.5 points followed by Newfane 25.5, Medina 20, Wilson 17, Barker 14, Albion 4 and Roy-Hart 3.
