Akron blanks Albion in N-O soccer

Scoring a goal in each half, Akron shutout host Albion 2-0 this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer game.

Travis Fry scored both goals for Akron which improves to 2-1 as Albion slips to 0-3.

In the other N-O contest, Wilson nipped rival Newfane 4-3 in overtime as Owen Cloy had two goals, Joey Moote a goal and an assist, Jacob Darlock a goal and Benjamin Lyman two assists.

Jeremy Foltz had two goals and an assist and Max Czakaj a goal and an assist for Newfane.

Wilson is now 2-0 and Newfnae 2-1.

There is one N-O game set for Saturday as Medina/Lyndonville visits Roy-Hart at noon.
