Tie earns Albion 15U a share of first place
Avenging an early season loss, the Albion 15U baseball team tied Legion 7-7 this evening at Wiliams Park in Batavia to move into a tie for the GLOW League lead.
Albion and Legion are now tied for first place at 4-1-1.
Rallying from deficits of 4-0 and 6-1, Albion erupted for six runs in the forth inning to take a 7-6 lead as Caden Uderitz, Bryce Wilson, Dallas Ecker and Finn McCue all had key hits.
Legion, which downed Albion 12-3 in their earlier meeting, forced the tie by rallying for a run in the top of the seventh inning.
The Albion offense also included two hits by Caleb Fox and one by Javon Jones.
Fox also had a strong game on the mound allowing 2 hits with 8 strikeouts in four innings of work.
Albion next plays a doubleheader on Saturday at Williams Park facing Batavia at 8 a.m. and GLOW at 12:30 p.m.
