Lyndonville, Kendall bow in road contests

Lyndonville and Kendall both dropped decisions on the road this evening in Genesee Region League boys basketball action.

Oakfield-Alabama defeated Lyndonville 74-51 and Attica downed Kendall 67-53.

Joey Burdick scored 14, Gauge Ambrewster 11 and Kameron Cusmano and Kaden Cusmano 10 each to spark a balanced attack for Oakfield-Alabama which held leads of 18-11 after one period, 39-26 at the half and 62-40 at the three-quarter mark.

Russ Stephens scored 22 and Nate Dillenbeck 15 for Lyndonville. Dillenbeck scored 7 in the second period and Stephens 11 in the third.

The Hornets are now 7-2 in the league while the Tigers are 5-3 and 8-5 overall.

Leading by a narrow 44-42 margin after three  quarters, Attica outscored Kendall 23-11 in the decisive final period to claim the win.

Ayden Goll scored 23, including 19 in the second half, and Frankie Bisceglie 17, including 9 in the final period, to lead the way for Attica.

Derek Edick scored 23 and Mason Kuhn had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Kendall which led 17-13 after one period and 30-25 at the half.

Attica outscored Kendall 19-12 in the third period to rally into the 44-42 lead heading into the decisive final stanza.
