Purple Eagles trim Raiders
Albion edged host Barker 51-45 this evening to remain undefeated at 5-0 in Niagara-Orleans League boys basketball competition.
Kevin Hillman scored 15 and Deyonci Farley 12 to lead the way for Albion as Bailey Blanchard added 9, Elijah Lloyd 6, Liam Ward 5 and Xavier Cornick 4.
Blanchard scored 6 and Ward 5 in the final quarter to help the Purple Eagles lock up the win.
Joey Brandt scored a game high 21 and Shane Gerhardt added 9 for Barker which slips to 0-4 in N-O action.
Albion held leads of 12-3 after one quarter, 25-15 at the half and 36-27 at the three-quarter mark.
Newfane 55, Wilson 31
Newfane likewise stayed unbeaten at 4-0 in N-O action by downing rival Wilson 55-31.
Garrett Srock scored 17 and Cade Littman 12 to lead the way for Newfane as Josh Everett, Michael Carmer and Caden Gibson 6 each.
Luke Bradley had 15 for Wilson which is now 1-2.
The Panthers led 13-11 after the first quarter, 22-16 at the half and 35-18 after three quarters.
Akron 58, Roy-Hart 35
Up 38-13 at the half, Akron went on to down Roy-Hart 58-35 as Adam Mietz scored 24 and Mitchell Holtz 10.
Tom Ragonese had 13 and Aiden Petrie 10 for Roy-Hart.
Akron is now 2-2 and Roy-Hart 1-3 in the league.

Alexander 71, Holley 40
Up 35-26 at the half, Alexander pulled away over the final two quarters to post a 71-40 Genesee Region League win over visiting Holley.
Kohl Morgan had 15 points and 9 rebounds and Jacob Norman 9 points for Holley.
