The Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina Club Hockey team lost their fourth game of the season, dropping a 7-4 home ice decision to Dunkirk/Fredonia Saturday evening.

Leading by a narrow 5-4 margin in the final period, Dunkirk/Fredonia put a lock on the game by scoring on a rare penalty shot and then on an empty netter.

Trailing 1-0 early, RBM tied the game as Tagen Decker (R-H) scored on passes from Jason Kuchey (R-H) and Dominic Peracciny (R-H).

Sophomore Andrew Downey (R-H) gave RBM the lead in the second period with an assist from Peracciny.

Then, after D/F tied the game, Kuchey scored unassisted, giving RBM a 3-2 lead.

However, Dunkirk/Fredonia scored three times to finish off the second period, two of the goals coming within 11 seconds of one another, to rally into the lead for good at 5-3.

.In the final stanza, Ryan Mettler (R-H) hit a power play goal unassisted to cut the deficit to 5-4 but RBM could not find the net again.

RBM’s next game is against local rival Wilson/Newfane next Saturday at home at 7:40 p.m.
