In a clash of unbeatens, the Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina Club team dropped an 8-2 decision to City Honors/Cardinal O’Hara on Tuesday evening at Riverside Arena in Buffalo.  They were the last two unbeaten teams in their division, both being 3-0.

Early in the opening period, the hosts took a 1-0 lead.  Shortly after, RBM responded with a goal by Dayton Ruppel, an Akron eighth-grader.  That goal was assisted by Jason Kuchey (R-H).

Down 2-1. Kuchey evened the score with his sixth goal of the season.  However, RBM fell behind 3-2 by the end of the period.

The second period belonged entirely to CH/CO as they exploded for four unanswered goals, and added a final score in the final period.

RBM attempts to get back on the winning track with a Saturday night game at the Northtown Arena (9 p.m.) against St. Joseph’s.
