Kendall spikers rally to edge Albion in 5 sets

Rebounding from a two set deficit, Kendall battled back to outlast visiting Albion 24-26, 21-25, 28-26, 27-25, 25-17 this evening in a regular season ending non league volleyball match.

For Kendall, Brittney Marks led the charge with 36 digs, 7 kills and 5 assists and Madison Shonitsky added 15 digs, 9 assists, and 8 kills. Autumn Woodward had 21 digs, Brianna Drennan 10, Olivia Caldwell 6, and Lauren Pilon 3. Karlee Robb added 7 aces and 4 kills, and Sara Mattle provided 5 kills and 5 aces.

“This was a great team effort to end the regular season for the Eagles. They fought hard in every set and earned the tough and well-deserved victory,” said Kendall Coach Morgan Marcello.

In two Genesee Region League matches, Alexander defeated Lyndonville 25-16, 25-14, 25-6 and Notre Dame downed Holley 25-10, 25-14, 25-12.

Byron-Bergen 25-25-25, Medina 15-11-7

Improving to 13-0 overall, Byron-Bergen celebrated Senior Night with a 25-15, 25-11, 25-7 win over Medina.

For Byron-Bergen,  Hannah Catalino had 4 kills, 3 digs, 2 aces and 3 assists and  Madison Farnsworth  15 kills, 3 digs and 1 ace.
