Medina and Barker post field hockey wins
Improving to 4-3-1, Medina shutout host Newfane 3-0 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game.
Layna Viloria, Mary Flores and Alex Strong each scored a goal in the first half to spearhead the Mustangs victory.
Flores earned an assist on the first goal and Lacey Kenward on the second.
Tessa Pecoraro earned the shutout in goal.
Barker 3, Wilson 1
All of the scoring came in the first half as front-running Barker (8-0) downed Wilson (2-5-1) 3-1.
Ciara Gregoire scored off an assist from Ella Fox, Rachel Hurtgam from Katrina Clare and Fox from Lena Fazzolari to account for the Barker scoring.
Olivia Mocarski scored Wilson’s goal off an assist from Emily Mucio.
In another N-O game, Akron (6-2) defeated Kenmore (1-7) 10-0.
