Kendall blanks Pembroke in G-R soccer

Kendall bested visiting Pembroke 3-0 this evening in a Genesee Region League boys soccer game.

Kendall jumped out to a quick lead in the first 10 minutes on a goal by Jacob Esposito.

Michael McCue’s first two goals of the season, one in each half, then put a lock on the victory for the Eagles.

Mason Kuhn made 6 saves to earn the shutout in goal.

Kendall, which next hosts HAC for Homecoming at 2 p.m. Saturday, improves to 3-2-2 in the league and 4-2-2 overall.

In another G-R contest, Byron-Bergen trimmed host Holley 2-1.

Holley took a quick 1-0 lead on a goal by Caleb Wright just five minutes in but the Hawks could not find the net again.

Holley, which next hosts Roy-Hart for Homecoming at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, is now 4-1-1 in the league and 5-3-1 overall.
